Star-Crossed Star Crossed Off

Madison Bumgarner is out for maybe 2 months.  My $11,000,000 pitcher, who has pitched at least 200 innings for the last six seasons straight, went dirt-biking.  According to his local manager in San Francisco, Bruce Bochy, Bumgarner thought he was invincible.  He crashed on his bike, and sprained his AC.  Whatever an AC is, this one is in his left shoulder. The one he pitches with.

Between that and Rich Hill’s invincible blister my rotation is now 40% missing. (More than that if you count Anthony DeSclafani’s sprained UCL in his elbow, which he suffered last spring. And then there’s Andrew Heaney, still recovering from TJ surgery done over a year ago. Mix in Robert Whalen, and I have a pretty decent rotation… on the DL).  Just when the W’s had finally gotten their engines started all at once…

Oh, did I mention: I just used my last April roster move yesterday, about the time Bumgarner was falling off his dirt bike? It’s ok. I haven’t got anyone to replace him.  Oh, well, the Wolverines’ meteoric rise — which is impossible, anyway, when you think about — has reached it’s peak. It wil now return to being a meteoric collapse.

I recognize I didn’t write anything about Starling Marte when he went on his 80-game suspension the other day.  This is probably just divine vengeance for my insensitivity to Pear suffering.
