Anya and I have most recently been part of the Salem Alliance church family since 2016. We have 2 kids, Micah and Lucy. Anya has her master’s in Social Work from Portland State University and Doug has a Master’s in Business Administration from Concordia University. After serving on the Pastoral Staff at Mosaic Church in Portland for 10 years, we spent a year with Compassion and Mercy Associates (the relief and development arm of the Alliance) in Gjilan, Kosovo. We returned to the Salem area in 2016 and began our roles as Pastors of Refugee Ministries at Salem Alliance. We are amazed at the ways God is bringing unreached people and also incredible believers to Salem from all around the world. Our vision is to see refugees, churches and the community engage in mutually transformative relationships that draw people to Jesus. We love sharing about the work God is doing among refugees here in Salem with community groups, and giving community groups opportunities to get involved.
