Quoted from Karen’s entry in Jeff’s baby book:

In 1980 we took a vacation trip during summer to visit folks in Whittier, and Jeff flew down with Uncle John on the plane. Jeff was good for him but quite a handful. As they were disembarking at L.A., Jeff–who was in front of John and behind a fella carrying a bag with a loaf of French bread sticking out of it–took a bite out of the French bread. John and the passengers behind thought it quite amusing. The owner of the French bread never knew.

When we moved down in 1980 from Walnut Creek to Whittier, Uncle John drove the moving truck and Jeff rode with him. John said he talked all the way down!
