Letters from Dick and Harold 1951-54

In the 1950s, letters were an important form of communication. They were the primary means of news exchange between various parts of a family. We are blessed to have these letters that give us insight not only into what was going on, but also the character of people involved.

Most of these letters were typed at Pomona Box Company. What we have in the archives are not the originals – they’re carbon copies. But they’re easy to read, and they tell us a lot about the people in our family. The letters are in chronological order.

You can page through the letters using the left and right arrows that will appear about halfway down each side, when you move the cursor there.
