1960-1964

We loved going out together as a family.

One of our favorite weekends each year was the one in January that we would spend at Loch Leven.

My grandparents continued in active ministry and travel until 1963 when my grandfather passed away.

Both of my sisters look great in photos, so we have lots of pictures of them.

Dick was in his early 30s during these years, and he gained more responsibility at both Pomona Box and First Friends Church.

For several years, we spent our summers in a rental house at Newport Beach. It was great!

Born April 17, 1962, he was Mom’s birthday present for the rest of her life.

The 1960s were busy years for Herb and Mary. They traveled the world, and spent lots of time with grandchildren.

My grandfather, Harold Votaw, passed away in 1963 at the age of 60. On this page we celebrate his memory.

Family gatherings have always been special. Pictures on this page show how happy we are to be together. The photo at left was taken at the park, on Mother’s Day. We are playing one of our favorite games, Chameleon. Grandpa had made the board and the cubes.

We had a lot of Votaw cousins in our church and in our city, and they had some big events in the early 1960s.
