The Wolverines Felled Some Trees

… in the forest, and I just want to make sure someone hears about it so we know it really happened.

On Friday the Old Detroit Wolverines accomplished this:

26 AB, 8 H, 2 2b, 2 HR, 6 BB:  .307, .437, .613.  Austin Hedges hit his 4th homer of the spring to bring his batting line to .625, .700, 2.125.  His trusty sidekick, who also homered and is currently batting .444, .615, .889, is, of course, Dan Vogelbach.

On the pitching side, the Wolverines did ok, too: 8 ip, 0 h, 0 bb, 0 r, 0 er, 12 k. That’s the combined work of Scherzer, Bumgarner, Greene and Iglesias.

None of this  will be believable in September.  Thank you for being my witnesses.
