How the postseason REALLY looks

The Rockies are about to play the Cubs in the NL Wild Card Game.

It’s all my fault.

I’m the one who is supposed to make sure the MLB bigwigs stop overlooking EFL teams when they set up the postseason.  This time I was planning to wait until after the tie-breaker games. Why mess up such promising baseball?  And why give up the last faint hope of a Wolverine EFL championship?

But I was supposed to call Bud… no, not Bud, whoever it is that has replaced him, some newbie — Manfred?  I know it’s not Manfred Tschan, some other Manfred.  I was supposed to call him to correct the matchups to get our EFL playoff qualifiers on the schedule.  But I forgot. So once again we are going without the opportunities we deserve to win the World Series.

We should get a competent Commissioner.  Like I’ve been saying all these years.

So — here is what the playoffs SHOULD look like.

Tonight:  Rockies at Cubs.  Which is what is happening, so I guess I have another day to get things fixed.

Wednesday eve:  Yankees at Wolverines.  I’m going to have to clean up the stadium. Re-build it, even.  I have all day tomorrow. Should be fine.

Thursday:  Cubs at Rosebuds.  Get your tickets now!  Providence Park will fill up fast!

Thursday:  Kangaroos at Brewers.  First playoff appearance from Down Under.  It’ll be a long flight, but they’ll be ready.

Friday: Wolverines at Red Sox.  Of course the W’s will beat the Yankees.  Tyler Wade will sabotage their bats for us.

Friday:  Indians at Astros.. I think this is already on the schedule, soo.

After that, the Wolverines will have to start the LCS at Houston, and the ‘Roos will have their chance to be mauled buy Rosebuds. Sliced, poked, pricked, and bloodied.

Then the Wolverines will start the World Series here in Portland.  It will be heaven. For four games, probably, given the Wolverines’ luck.  But at least we’ll have been there.
