From time to time we run into people who can legitimately be called ‘superheroes.’ Dave and Cindy Hayden (pictured below) definitely fit this category. After four weeks in country, Dave and Cindy boarded an airplane this afternoon (Tues 4.22) for some well-deserved rest in Germany.

These past four weeks have been filled with many twists and turns:

a. After preparing her heart and mind for her mom’s cancer surgery on April 9th (second week in country), the flu caused complications and the surgery was postponed. Dave’s mom has also been through challenging times with cancer herself.

b. Dave & Cindy prepared to teach English at the Life Center, and upon arrival realized they’d be teaching a different level of English without anticipated resources. They jumped in and immediately made it their own, trained Sam and Samson how to teach the class, and left the class as they do so often – better than how they found it.

c. Sam and Samson would agree: The Hayden’s were great ‘dorm parents!’ – holding their feet to the fire with chores and apartment life responsibilities, while diving in with their whole hearts as teammates in ministry and life.

d. And of course the ministry side – building relationships and serving at ICS without reservation.  Well done Dave & Cindy!  You are my heroes!!

It’s All About the Power…
