Mildred’s sister Tirzah and her husband Frank Jessup had been left behind when the Votaws moved to California, so the Jessups traveled west every year to visit.
Dick’s Alaska Cruise Vacation
In the summer of 1948 Dick and his friend Jim Ervin took a cruise to Alaska. While on the trip, Dick sent letters to Aunt & Unc in Indiana. Dick wrote a brief account of the trip in a section of his autobiography. These writings appear below, on this page.
