Tonight was our best one yet in country. We were invited to the home of our new friend Hauzhein (in white shirt) for dinner and tea. As you can see, we are eating on the floor and enjoying lamb, beef, fish, and chicken with rice, soup, and salad.

The tastes were new to us, but with the exception of the yogurt milk (which I almost spit up), everything was wonderful. After dinner we were invited into their living room for tea and cookies, and fun talk around the room. Hauzhein was the translator for everyone, being the only one who speaks our languages.

the tastes were new to us, but with the exception of the yogurt milk…

We laughed about our different cultures, and agreed America was indeed a friend of this people group. While we do not share common faith in Jesus, they are glad we are in their country working at the international church, and spending time with their son.

Thank you for your generosity and prayers as we continue to serve in this strategic region of the world!
