EFL Dominates All-Star Game

I don’t mean to downplay the standings today — something amazing happened there, after all — but this is really the day to go over the significance of the All-Star Game rosters as an indicator of EFL dominance.  So the standings will be quick with no commentary.

Now — on to the ASG Rosters.

The EFL’s “share” of  MLB honors is 30%.  For the 18 players voted to start in the All-Star game, our share would be 5.4.

We got 8, 48% more than our share.

By EFL team, here’s how we are doing:

EFL in the ASG
Dragons –         2 starters, 4 others  =    6
Wolverines –   1 starter,  5 others =       6
Alleghenys –    2 starters, 2 others =     4
Fromages –      1 starter, 2 others =        3
Kangaroos –    1 starter, 2 others =        3
Pears –              0 starters, 3 others =      3
Tornados –      0 starters, 2 others =      2
Rosebuds –      1 starter, 0 others =        1
Drive –              0 starters, 0 others =      0

The Drive have been shut out so far, but there is still a chance for one to appear.  The fans are voting on the final player in each league.  There are 10 nominees; the EFL share would be 3 — which is what we got.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Xander Bogaerts, Tornados
Yoenis Cespides, Drive

NATIONAL LEAGUE
Carlos Martinez,  Dragons

We were nice and didn’t hog the final vote category.  In return is it too much to expect a Cespides win so  the Drive can have someone in the All Star game?
