Start of Week 21: Oh, Canberra!

Most of our attention last week was elsewhere, but the Canberra Kangaroos narrowly pulled out their 12th consecutive week of improved winning percentages, going from .628 to .631.  That left them baaarely out of 3rd place, only 0.1 games behind the Wolverines.

Last week the Seraphim ended with a mighty surge, leaping from 3rd to 1st place.  Today, those pesky Kangaroos leapt from 4th to 2d place, leaving the Wolverines eating dust.  They even got their noses out in front of the Balk, .63435 to .63417 in adjusted season winning percentage, and 0.02 in games behind first.

It’s early in the week, our rotations have rotated (the W’s and several other teams had no pitching last night), so it doesn’t mean a WHOLE bunch. Nevertheless, the Kangaroos Bounce has put our pennant race on the edge of incandescence, with two team essentially tied in 2d place less that a game behind the Seraphim.
