First June update delayed by technical problems

… stand by.

Does anyone really stand someplace by something when told to “stand by”?

The problems stem in part from one team’s lack of allocations, in part from my ignorant attempts to “fix” the problems, and in part from Dave being busy with what he calls “a paying customer.”  I don’t get that.  We pay him a lot — a lot of attention, a lot of respect, etc.  Apparently this other paying customer is paying Dave something mysterious that we can’t offer him.

Anyway — I’ve made a big enough mess of today’s stats without generating any standings.  Sorry. They don’t mean that much anyway this early in the month.

  • Still delayed. These things come in layers — only when you fix one thing will you get far enough to discover another thing. Worse — it’s possible to make an error while trying to fix another error, which it looks like I might have done last night.

And by “error” I don’t mean just another routine Wolverine allocation error. I made at least one of those, too. Lance McCullers, for whom I spent $4.25 million, was allocated to the minors for more seasoning, so his 9 inning, 1 er, 11 so, 0 w performance from last night wasn’t his Old Detroit Wolverine debut.
