My wife and I celebrated her 40th birthday by sleeping in a treehouse last night. This is no ordinary treehouse. It is, for lack of a better word, a luxurious treehouse. It was a surprise for her, because we decided this year, as we both turned 40, that we would give gifts of experiences rather than material objects. When I turned 40 this summer, we woke up at 4:30am and went on a hot air balloon ride. Now that it is her turn we climbed up three levels of cedar stairs and decks to arrive at the two-story treehouse, replete with a full size bed, a toilet, windows overlooking Dundee countryside, WiFi and a pour over coffee station to make one feel like avian royalty (what other kind of king would be sleeping in a tree?).
We are celebrating all weekend long, so this will be short. Games/stats are from the past two days.
